Clemson’s depth along the offensive line has taken another hit.

Dabo Swinney revealed, after the team’s 18-13 win over Syracuse, that freshman Braden Wilmes suffered a torn ACL in practice this week. Wilmes is listed as the backup to Collin Sadler at right tackle on the depth chart.

The Tigers are already dealing with multiple injuries up front, with starters Elyjah Thurmon and Harris Sewell both missing the win over the Orange.

Wilmes has mostly seen action on special teams this season, but did log six snaps in the win over Charleston Southern.

The 6-foot-8, 300-pounder, out of Lawrence, Kansas, was a three-star prospect coming out of high school. He signed with Clemson as part of the 2026 recruiting class.
