CLEMSON — The Clemson Tigers got 26 points and six assists from guard Ace Buckner as the Tigers knocked off American 82-73 Friday at Littlejohn Coliseum.

Buckner became the first guard since the 2004-05 season to open a year with back-to-back 20-point games. He had 20 points in Clemson’s season opening win over Stetson on Monday night.
