During his postgame press conference following Saturday’s 18-13 win over Syracuse, Clemson head coach Dabo Swinney was asked if he heard about the injury to South Carolina quarterback LaNorris Sellers.
Obviously, Swinney had not, but the Clemson coach did show concern after learning about the injury.
Sellers was injured late in the second quarter of the Gamecocks’ game against Texas A&M. He was taken to the locker room for observations before the half. USC head coach Shane Beamer told ESPN at halftime it was an ankle injury and they were checking to see if he was okay.
“Man. That is awful. I really hate to see that,” Swinney said.
ESPN reported after halftime that the X-rays on Sellers’ ankle were negative and he was going to return to the game.
