TheClemsonInsider.com has confirmed that Lateek Townsend will transfer from Clemson.   Rumors have circulated for the past few weeks that Townsend would leave the Clemson football program.

Earlier Thursday Townsend tweeted “Clemson football will always be apart of me!”.

Townsend had 10 tackles in 28 snaps as a sophomore for the Tigers.  Lateek came to Clemson as part of the nation’s top linebacker class in 2011.  Townsend was a US Army All-American and Shrine Bowl MVP as a senior in high school.
