The ACC went 14-4 in non-conference midweek action to move to 178-52 (774) against non-ACC opponents on the year. Clemson (5-0), NC State (4-0), and North Carolina (5-0) all had undefeated weeks and six teams (Clemson, Florida State, Georgia Tech, NC State, North Carolina, & Virginia) are ranked in at least one of the three major polls this week led by the top-ranked Tar Heels. The three teams slated to join the ACC in coming seasons (Louisville, Notre Dame, and Pittsburgh) went 6-6 during the week as they moved to a combined 65-27 (.707) this season.
