Around the ACC

The ACC, the top rated conference in the RPI, went 9-0 against non-conference opponents this past week to improve to 211-57 (.787) against non-ACC opponents. Florida State (3-0) was the only team with an undefeated week and seven teams (Clemson, Florida State, Georgia Tech, NC State, North Carolina, Virginia, & Virginia Tech) are ranked in at least one of the three major polls this week led by the top-ranked Tar Heels. The three teams slated to join the ACC in coming seasons (Louisville, Notre Dame, and Pittsburgh) went 12-2 during the week as they moved to a combined 94-38 (.712) this season.

The Eagles had a great week with a series win over Miami (FL) followed by midweek wins over Harvard in the Beanpot Tournament and at Rhode Island. This weekend Boston College welcomes Virginia Tech to town for a three-game ACC series.
