4-star Tight End Milan Richard decided he couldn’t wait until June 4 for an announcement and gave his verbal commitment to the Clemson staff.
“I called coach Scott and told him. He got me in touch with Dabo. He was ecstatic. He was glad they were 100 percent committed to me and I was 100 percent committed to them,” said Richard.
Milan had planned to announce his destination on June 4, but didn’t need to wait any longer.
“I talked it over with my family the last few days. We knew Clemson was the place for me so there was no need to wait. Now I can concentrate on winning a state championship,” said Richard.
Milan is the nephew of former Georgia great Hershel Walker. His offer list included Georgia, South Carolina, Ole Miss and most of the top teams in the nation.
Milan becomes the fifth verbal commitment for the Tiger’s 2014 class and the second 4-star tight end joining Cannon Smith.
