Clemson, SC—Forty-eight Clemson student-athletes earned academic degrees over the course of three graduation ceremonies at Littlejohn Coliseum on Friday. The list of graduates included seven football student-athletes who will be members of the team this fall. Four seniors from Clemson’s women’s track program that has won eight consecutive ACC track championships also graduated.
Overall, nine current or former Clemson football players earned degrees on Friday. Brandon Thomas (Secondary Education) and Chandler Catanzaro (Biological Sciences) both earned All-ACC honors on the field this past fall and will be leaders of Clemson’s 2013 team. Other Tiger football players who will be on the field this fall with a degree on their resume are Phillip Fajgenbaum, Rod McDowell, Donny McElveen, Spencer Shuey, and Darrell Smith.
The list of graduates on Friday also included NFL player Jamie Harper, who turned professional after his junior year in the fall of 2010, but came back to earn his degree.
