The Series
Clemson and USC Upstate have met twice on the diamond, with the Tigers holding a 2-0 lead in the series. The teams first met in 2009 and last played in 2010.
In the 2009 contest, five Clemson pitchers combined to pitch a no-hitter in a 14-0 Tiger win. The following season, John Hinson went 5-for-6 with three homers and seven RBI to lead Clemson to a 22-4 win over the Spartans.

USC Upstate, led by 16th-year Head Coach Matt Fincher, is a member of the Atlantic Sun Conference. USC Upstate enters the game off a sweep at the hands of Kennesaw State last weekend and have lost six of their last seven games overall.
