Recruiting for top 2016 running back Antonio Williams is starting to pick up, and in a big way. Clemson is leading the way when it come to recruiting him, but several other major programs are trying to get into the picture.

“Coach Pearman has visited me twice,” Williams said. “I think it shows that they think highly of me. They are the school I am hearing the most from.”

The Tigers aren’t the only school hard after the rising star.

“This week UNC’s coach Kap visited me. As well as NC state and Florida State,” said Williams.

This offseason Antonio has been working hard to try and improve his game and he plans to continue that work into the summer.  A camp visit to Tigertown is on tap.

“I will definitely be going to the Clemson camp this summer. As well as Duke, Michigan, and maybe Southern Cal. I have been training a lot.  I am up to 200 lbs, but I still run a 4.5.  Football is really all I do now, except for work on the weekends, and church on Sunday’s,” said Williams.

What are Antonio’s goals for next season?

“I want to rush for 3000 yards and 40 touchdowns,” replied Williams.

Antonio has an impressive list of offers, that will only get bigger as he plays more. It is clear however that Clemson is strong on the trail after him.
