Christ Church linebacker [autotag]Khalid Jones[/autotag] visited Clemson for the third time this year when he showed up for Monday morning’s practice.
The 6-1, 220-pound 2018 prospect from Greenville visited Tigertown in April for the Orange and White spring game and again in June for the Dabo Swinney Football Camp.
On Monday, he spoke with TheClemsonInsider about his practice stop.
“I really enjoyed it. I had a really good time,” Jones said.
He added, “The facilities. I was very impressed with the staff and the facilities.”
Linebackers coach Brent Venables worked with Jones during his camp visit.
“I think coach Venables is a really good linebackers coach. He’s definitely doing a great job,” Jones said.
Though he hasn’t made any plans to return this fall, Jones plans to be back in Death Valley. Last season, [autotag]Clemson[/autotag] hosted him for the Syracuse game.
“I will definitely be coming to some of the games in the fall,” he said.
Jones also camped at UNC, N.C. State, Georgia, Virginia and Maryland over the summer. He hopes to see games at South Carolina, N.C. State and UNC in the fall.
As a freshman, Jones had 60 tackles, six tackles for loss, three sacks, two quarterback hurries, two pass breakups, a forced fumble and an interception.
