Clemson targets playing on ESPN

Hungry for football? ESPN has you covered with a slate of high school games this weekend that will help everyone make it to next Thursday.

A number of Clemson targets will be on ESPN and ESPNU this weekend, so get the popcorn ready, set the DVR, do whatever you need to do to see these prospects.

Several will be playing on Saturdays and Sundays, and it’s never too early to get a start on that 2021 fantasy football draft.

Friday

Booker T. Washington (Fla.) vs. St. Thomas Aquinas (Fla.)

8 p.m. – ESPN

The game’s headliners are 2016 defensive end Nick Bosa and 2016 wide receiver Sam Bruce — neither of whom are on Clemson’s radar — but there are plenty of others.

Clemson offered several 2017 and 2018 prospects from St. Thomas Aquinas earlier this spring, including 2017 wide receiver Trevon Grimes, 2018 cornerback Asante Samuel Jr. and 2018 cornerback Benjamin Sapp.

Saturday

Miami Central (Fla.) v. DeMatha (Md.)

Noon – ESPN

Though the game is littered with plenty of former Clemson targets, 2017 running back Anthony McFarland is the lone Clemson-related prospect in this game. The four-star is one of a handful of 2017 running backs with an offer from the Tigers.

Spartanburg (S.C.) vs. Wakulla (Fla.)

1 p.m. – ESPNU

This game is in Crawfordville, Fla., so anyone in the Upstate who’s entertaining the idea of seeing this in person will have some driving to do. [autotag]Tavien Feaster[/autotag] will have plenty of games in the area over the next few years, so there’s no need to make the long trip.

Wakulla features 2016 quarterback Felipe Franks, an LSU commitment, and 2016 wide receiver Keith Gavin, who recently decommitted from Florida State.

Peachtree Ridge (Ga.) vs. Archer (Ga.)

7 p.m. – ESPNU

The game is full of big-time prospects on both sides. As far as Clemson is concerned, there are 2017 athletes on each team: [autotag]Deangelo Gibbs[/autotag] for Peachtree Ridge and [autotag]Jamyest Williams[/autotag] for Archer.

Sunday

Miramar (Fla.) vs. IMG Academy (Fla.)

2 p.m. – ESPNU

Headlined by former commitment [autotag]Rahshaun Smith[/autotag], the IMG Academy has a number of players with Clemson offers. Also on the roster are 2016 cornerback Saivion Smith, an LSU commitment, plus 2017 wide receiver Emmanuel Greene, 2017 outside linebacker Jordan Anthony and 2017 defensive end Joshua Kaindoh.
