In July, 2018 four-star defensive tackle [autotag]Austin Fontaine[/autotag] visited Clemson.
Several schools have offered Fontaine, who’s a sophomore at DeMatha High School in Hyattsville, Md. Before Clemson pulled the trigger on Sept. 1, Georgia, Penn State, Virginia and Maryland were already on board with offers.
“We were walking around the stadium, it’s a big stadium. It’s nice,” Fontaine said of his July trip to Tigertown.
Georgia and Tennessee also had him on campus over the summer. This fall, he’s been to Maryland for the Bowling Green game and he’ll return to College Park next month for another.
Is a return to Clemson in the works?
“I hope so, I’m going to try.”
Who leads?
“It’s too early.”
The 6-3, 280-pound prospect wants to find a school that offers the major of his choice.
“Well, I know all the football programs are good. I’m going to be looking for a good engineering program for the school,” Fontaine said.
