Breyon Gaddy is regarded as one of the best defensive tackles in the class of 2017.
Scout, Rivals and 247 all rate him with four stars. He’s ranked by 247 as the No. 3 defensive tackle in the class and the 40th best overall prospect.
Gaddy, who attends Bishop Sullivan Catholic in Virginia Beach, is listed by Scout and 247 as the No. 2 prospect in the state.
Along with his twin brother, Brandon, Gaddy is scheduled to visit Clemson for the Notre Dame game. Brandon is a tight end with offers from Clemson, Nebraska, Old Dominion and Virginia.
The Clemson Insider recently caught up with Breyon about their first trip to Tigertown.
“Seeing their campus, seeing what it’s like, seeing how they perform in the game and seeing how much they’re interested in me,” he said.
Clemson’s coaches, led by Brent Venables, maintain a steady line of communication.
“They’ve been talking to me a lot with Twitter and all that,” Gaddy said.
What’s Venables tell him?
“If I work hard, I could be a big part of their team.”
His message about Clemson?
“How they’re a good team, a good school and all that,”
This will be the Gaddys’ first trip of the season
“I’m liking Clemson,” Breyon said. “I like the way their football program is, how their fans support them. That would be big for me.”
This season, he has 15 tackles and four sacks. Clemson, Alabama, Florida State, Notre Dame, Georgia and Michigan are among the many schools that have offered.
