TCI College Playoff Predictions

The chase for the College Football Playoff continues.  Each week the TCI staff gives their four playoff teams.

Here is this week’s edition.

Robert MacRae – Clemson’s win over NC State wasn’t as nice as the one over Miami, but I am putting the Tigers at No. 1.  LSU comes in No. 2 for me this week.  If they beat Bama Saturday they will hold firm in the top four.  Ohio State is my No. 3 team this week.  They seem to be improving each week, but haven’t really played anyone yet.  No. 4 this week is TCU.  They have one of the top offenses in the nation.  We will learn more in November as their schedule increases.

William Qualkinbush – Even though the committee put Clemson atop its ranking this week, I’m still putting Ohio State at #1—because I can. The champs are the champs until somebody knocks them off, and the champs are unbeaten and have looked much better recently. Clemson would be my second team as the most impressive and complete team in college football this season. Baylor would be in my third spot in spite of its woefully simple schedule, while LSU would round out my foursome as an unbeaten team with some quality wins under its belt.

Will Vandervort: With the exception of Alabama, I like the first rankings released by the College Football Playoff Committee. I feel Clemson is the best team in the country and I have said that for several weeks now. I don’t think you can go wrong with either LSU or Ohio State at No. 2 and No. 3, and No. 4 to me is TCU. The Horn Frogs defense is getting healthier and because of that it is getting better. With that offense and an improving defense, TCU has the ability to run the table.
