The chase for the College Football Playoff continues. Each week the TCI staff gives their four playoff teams.
Here is this week’s edition.
Robert MacRae – Clemson stays as my No. 1 team this week. The Tigers continue to have the best team in the nation when you look at both sides of the football. I am going to move Oklahoma State in this week to replace TCU. Ohio State is my No. 3 team this week, sliding one spot. Notre Dame will be my final team this week. Too much hype out there for a Bama team that lost to a very average Ole Miss team so I have dropped them from my top four.
William Qualkinbush – I’ve finally seen the light. I have Clemson at the top of my rankings. Ohio State is second, while Oklahoma State is third based upon an impressive victory over TCU last week. I have Alabama in fourth place, but only by a slim margin. There are a handful of teams with a solid case to make for that final playoff spot.
Hale McGranahan – Even though I missed out on last week’s poll, Ohio State would have been up top, and nothing has changed. I’ll give Clemson the nod at No. 2, thanks to those wins over Notre Dame and Florida State. My third-place spot goes to Alabama and Notre Dame is fourth. I’m not buying Iowa’s high standing in the real poll. I’d put Baylor and Stanford ahead of them.
Will Vandervort – Clemson is without a doubt No. 1 on my list. The Tigers are dominating the lines of scrimmage week in and week out. I still think Ohio State is No. 2. Like Clemson they have the best mix of both offense and defense.Baylor is undefeated so they deserve to be No. 3, especially with that offense it has. Notre Dame comes in No. 4. The Irish’s one loss is to No. 1 Clemson and they have pretty much taken care of their business each week. Their one loss is obviously better than Alabama’s one loss to Ole Miss.
Ed McGranahan – Clemson, Florida, Iowa, Oklahoma State
