After putting together a historical run with wins over two top-10 teams, the Clemson men’s basketball team has received votes in the latest top-25 polls.
This week, Clemson (12-6, 5-1 ACC) is 27th in both the AP and USA Today Coaches polls.
In the AP poll, Clemson received 53 points. Pittsburgh (15-2), which finished 26th, picked up 184 points. No. 25 Indiana (15-3) had 210.
Clemson scored 29 points in the USA Today Coaches poll, just six behind Gonzaga (14-4), the 26th team in this week’s poll. Southern Cal (15-3) is No. 25 with 103 points.
Duke, the first top-10 victim that fell to Clemson, is now 20th in the AP and 12th in the USA Today Coaches. Miami is at 15 and 14, respectively.
Clemson will have another crack at a top-25 team on Tuesday when the Tigers head to Charlottesville to play No. 13 Virginia. The Cavs are 13-4 and coming off a loss at Florida State.
With a 5-1 record in ACC play, Clemson is a half-game up on Pittsburgh (4-1 ACC) in second-place.
