We’re set to find out what happens with two of Clemson’s two safety targets later tonight.
Isaiah Simmons (Olathe, Kan.) will announce at 6 p.m. (EST) and Romeo Finley (Niceville, Fla.) will announce at 7 p.m. (EST).
It would appear that things are trending in Clemson’s favor for Simmons, who’s also considering Michigan and Nebraska. Sources told TheClemsonInsider on Monday night that his official visit went very well. Finley is deciding between Georgia Tech, Clemson and Miami.
We’re told that Simmons and his family fit in well with the folks around the Clemson program. That usually bodes well for Clemson. At the very least, it gives you a good shot.
Perhaps that’s why Clemson has been able to make such an impression on Rashan Gary and his people. Gary, of course, will announce on ESPN2 on Signing Day. By then, Clemson should have received all of its National Letters of Intent.
We’ve caught up with several of Clemson’s commitments, to find out when they’re hitting send on the fax button.
Xavier Kelly’s fax will be sent at 7:30. He’ll be apart of a ceremony at his school in Wichita at 12 p.m. Those times are central standard.
Zerrick Cooper is sending from Jonesboro, Ga. at 7:45.
A year to the day of his commitment to Clemson, Cornell Powell (Greenvile, N.C.) will participate in a signing ceremony at 12. His fax will be sent early, around 7 in the morning. Fellow wide receiver commitment Diondre Overton (Greensboro, N.C.) has a ceremony at 4:30.
Jamie Skalski will send his letter “first thing in the morning,” but he’ll participate in a ceremony at the end of the day at Northgate High School in Newnan, Ga.
Tavien Feaster, the third 2016 commitment that pledged to Clemson last Signing Day, will fax his paperwork early Wednesday morning.
T.J. Chase will sign his paperwork at 8. So will Chandler Reeves, who will participate in a signing ceremony at 10.
Diondre Overton is going to take care of business between 7:30-8.
