GREENVILLE — Clemson relied on stellar defense down the stretch to beat Boston College, 65-54.
The Clemson defense held BC to just one basket in the final 4 minutes of play. Jaron Blossomgame led all scorers with 23 points while Dennis Clifford had another solid outing for the Eagles, scoring 17 points on 8-of-12 shooting.
Clemson guard Avery Holmes added 17 points, five assists and three steals in the Tigers ninth ACC victory of the season.
