Former Clemson defensive end Shaq Lawson is one of eight former Tigers arriving in Indianapolis over the next three days to participate in the 2016 NFL Scouting Combine at Lucas Oil Stadium.
Lawson, along with defensive tackle D.J. Reader, linebacker B.J. Goodson and fellow defensive end Kevin Dodd are expected to arrive in Indianapolis on Thursday and will have their measurements taken on Friday. They will be begin interviews and bench work on Saturday and then finish with their on-field workouts on Sunday, including the 40-yard dash.
Lawson comes to the combine as a possible mid-first-round selection in the 2016 NFL Draft. In his only season as a starter he tallied 86 tackles, including 25 behind the line and 12.5 sacks. A First-Team All-America, he was named as the ACC Defensive Player of the Year by the league’s head coaches.
