Dabo’s First Win

Clemson head coach Dabo Swinney got his first win against Boston College with a 27-21 win at Alumni Stadium in 2008.  C.J. Spiller had 242 all-purpose yards that afternoon and the Tigers scored the final ten points.

Scott Ties Record

Artavis Scott tied Sammy Watkins’ record for freshman catches in a single game with his ten catches against Louisville.  Scott had ten receptions for 66 yards.

Battle of Top Ten Defenses

Two of the nation’s top ten defenses battle Saturday afternoon in Chestnut Hill.  Clemson is sixth in the nation in total defense, while Boston College is eighth.  Both teams are also in the top 11 nationally in rushing defense with the Tigers coming in 11th allowing 100.5 ypg while Boston College is ninth allowing 99.8.

The Tigers are ranked in the top 25 in both major polls this week.  Clemson is 22nd in the USA Today Coaches Poll and 24th in the Associated Press Poll.
