Hyatt says true freshman backing him up

Clemson offensive tackle Mitch Hyatt said Monday’s practice had the full slate of offensive linemen available.

The Freshman All-American said the last few weeks have been pretty hard because a lot of the guys on the offensive line had to sit out a few practices here and there to sure up some nagging injuries.

“There were some concussions, you know, injuries where they are kind of annoying, so you have to sit out for a certain amount of time,” he said. “I think today was the first day we played with a lot of the guys back.”

Hyatt also talked about the depth of the offensive line, especially at tackle where he says true freshman Tremayne Anchrum is backing him up at left tackle.

“Tremayne shows a lot of athleticism,” Hyatt said. “He comes from a good high school, a high school that ran a spread that is similar to Clemson’s so he has had an easier time transitioning.”
