SOUTH BEND, Ind. — Clemson’s Chris Williams went one-on-one with The Clemson Insider following his solo home run that led to the Tigers’ 2-1 victory over Notre Dame in 11 innings on Thursday in South Bend, Ind.
Watch Williams talk about the biggest home run of the year, his play and much more.
“I finally got the pitch to hit and I got all of it and it went over,” said Williams after the game.
It was just the second time this decade Clemson hit a home run after 10 innings of play. The other came by Steven Duggar at Wake Forest in 2013. That also came in the 11th inning.
Williams’ home run came on a 2-1 offering from Notre Dame reliever Sean Guenther, who was charged with the loss.
