Clemson landed a big-time baseball player on Monday evening when left-handed pitcher Mitchell Miller committed to Clemson after being granted a release from Mississippi State. It was a dream come true for Miller, who is a top-100 prospect, considered the best lefty in Georgia and expected to immediately compete for a weekend rotation spot in 2017.

Miller (6-5, 185) is from Covington, Ga., and attends Loganville High. He was named a Rawlings-Perfect Game second-team All-American this year.
