Clemson is showing Markaviest Bryant a lot of love, and the four-star defensive end is feeling it.
Bryant told The Clemson Insider that Clemson is one of the schools at the top of his list.
What does he like about the Tigers?
“The way they are recruiting me,” Bryant said. “Coach (Brent) Venables hits me up every day.”
Venables last visited Bryant in the spring.
“I’ve always had a good relationship with him,” Bryant said. “He keeps me informed on what goes on through the process.”
The Cordele (Ga.) Crisp County standout said Georgia, Florida, Alabama, LSU and Florida State are the other leaders in his recruitment.
Bryant’s most recent trip to Clemson occurred in January for the Tigers’ first Junior Day event of the year. Before that, Clemson hosted him during the Florida State game.
He hopes to return to campus sometime next month.
“I love the campus,” he said. “I always feel at home.”
Bryant’s only other visit this summer was to Georgia for a seven-on-seven competition in June.
Bryant is one of the most highly rated weak-side defensive ends in the 2017 class. As a junior, the 6-foot-4, 230-pounder logged 73 tackles and 10 sacks.
