AUBURN, Ala. — Clemson senior linebacker Ben Boulware had a big interception to stop a critical drive in the second half on Saturday night, but he also made a critical mistake hitting the quarterback late that helped Auburn cut the lead to six late in the fourth quarter in Clemson’t 19-13 victory.
Following the game Boulware took full responsibility.
“I didn’t know the situation. I was just being an idiot. I made a dumb hit on the quarterback. I made the situation stressful and I almost cost us the game,” said Boulware afterwards.
