Myles Sims is the latest standout cornerback from Westlake High School (Atlanta, Ga.) that Clemson is targeting.

Five-star Westlake corner A.J. Terrell committed to Clemson in August. Now, he’s working on Sims, a four-star in the 2018 class.

Could Sims join Terrell at Clemson in the future?

“Every day, he’s always talking about Clemson, Clemson,” Sims said of Terrell. “He’s definitely trying to recruit me.”

Sims said many people were surprised by Terrell’s decision, but not him.

“It was a shocker to most people, but I knew he was going to go there,” Sims said. “I liked it.”

Sims received an offer from Clemson in May, and last visited the school in June.

“I like Clemson a lot,” Sims said. “I like the coaching staff, and I like what coach (Dabo) Swinney has going for the program. They’re a winning program.”

Sims named Michigan State, Michigan, Notre Dame, Alabama, South Carolina and Clemson as the schools he would like to visit during the season.

The 6-foot-3, 160-pounder attended Clemson’s game against Georgia Tech last October.

“I will be at some of their home games,” Sims said of Clemson.

Sims, Terrell and Westlake have started the season with a 1-1 record.

“Our team is doing fine right now,” Sims said. “Our offense is progressing, so we’re going to get better than we are right now.”

Sims doesn’t have any leaders in his recruitment at this time.

“No schools right now,” he said.

Sims is rated by the 247Sports Composite as the No. 16 player in Georgia and the nation’s No. 206 player overall in the class of 2018.
