Clemson defensive coordinator Brent Venables was pleased with the way the defense started, but not with the way they finished the game.  Coach Venables credited playing a ton of guys with one of the reasons the play was not always as consistent as they would like.

“We played a ton of guys early and that will pay off for us down the road,” said Venables.
