A week after rising from the ashes of a dismal middle two quarters to lead Clemson to a come-from-behind victory against Louisville, quarterback Deshaun Watson kept things rolling against Boston College on the road.

Watson specialized in quick strikes throughout Friday night’s 56-10 win over the Eagles. He completed 14 of his 24 pass attempts for 266 yards and four touchdowns. Perhaps most importantly, he had no turnovers—a complete turnaround from the sloppy moments he fought through a week ago. Watson also added 28 rushing yards on eight carries.

The junior signal-caller started taking advantage of downfield opportunities early in the game. A 50-yard throw to Mike Williams, which the lanky wideout snagged with a diving effort, set up a nine-yard touchdown strike to Williams that he plucked off the top of a defender’s helmet for Clemson’s second score of the game. His next throw was a catch-and-run to Jordan Leggett that resulted in a 56-yard touchdown.

After a bout of inaccuracy left Watson with only five completions in 12 attempts, he threw for at least ten yards on six consecutive passes. Among those throws was a 29-yard touchdown pass to Deon Cain. Cain struck again for a nine-yard score after Watson threw him a perfect fade.

When Watson exited the game, the Tigers led 42-10 on the back of the quarterback who came to life when they needed him most last week, then upped his game in a road game less than a week later.
