Clemson’s offense scored its second touchdown in as many possessions on a 21-yard touchdown pass from Deshaun Watson to a wide-open Jordan Leggett at the 5:57 mark of the first quarter, giving the Tigers a 14-0 lead.
It was a nine-play, 83-yard drive by Clemson that used 4:06 of clock. Clemson converted a couple of third downs during the drive to keep it alive, one on a pass interference penalty against Leggett and the other on a 6-yard reception by Artavis Scott.
The Tigers have rolled up 134 yards of total offense in the early going.
