Donte Grantham paced Clemson with a game-high 19 points, six boards, a blocked shot and a steal as the Tigers crushed Mercer at Littlejohn Coliseum on Saturday, 90-47.
Jaron Blossomgame wasn’t far off with 16 points on the day while Shelton Mitchell did it all for Clemson, tallying 13 points, seven rebounds, and five assists as the Tigers scored 90-plus points for the second time this year.
Clemson (6-2) scored 95 against Davidson on Nov. 17.
Gabe DeVoe matched Mitchell’s 13 points with Avry Holmes not far behind with 10 on the day. Together, the five double-digit scorers shot 49-percent from the floor and knocked down 17 of their 22 free throws. The five combined for 11 of Clemson’s 13 buckets from beyond the arc, which was just three, three-pointers shy of Clemson’s all-time record of 16 in a single game.
Clemson, winners of four straight, will play S.C. State on Tuesday at 7 p.m. The game will be televised on ESPNU.
