Johnson gives Smith hard time after fourth-quarter interception

Jadar Johnson and Van Smith are roommates at Clemson, and the two safeties are as close as brothers.

So, when Smith darted in front of Johnson to intercept a pass from Ohio State quarterback J.T. Barrett in last Saturday’s Fiesta Bowl, Johnson felt like Smith stole his interception.

When the two came over to the sideline after the play, Johnson was throwing punches at him — and water — while Smith was desperately seeking oxygen.

“He’s throwing water in my face,” Smith said. “I already can’t breathe. I’m like, can I get some oxygen please.”
