Clemson first baseball Seth Beer and freshman pitcher Jacob Hennessy spoke to the media following the Tigers’ 9-2 loss to Wright State on Sunday at Doug Kingsmore Stadium in Clemson.

With the win, Wright State took the opening series from the 10th-ranked Tigers in what was one of the biggest upsets of opening weekend in college baseball.

After the game, Beer said Clemson has to worry about doing only what they can control and try not to let negative influences get to them as they navigate through the opening month of the 2017 season.

Clemson will host Western Carolina on Wednesday at 4 p.m.
