TCI Hitter-of-the Week              #5 Chase Pinder

The junior outfielder from Poquoson, VA went 6-for-12 (.500) in four games last week in route to earning his second Hitter-of-the-Week award. Pinder had three doubles, one RBI, five runs, a walk, a HBP, and was 1-1 on stolen bases with a .563 on-base percentage and a .750 slugging percentage.

TCI Pitcher-of-the-Week            #15 Alex Eubanks

The redshirt sophomore righty from Moore, SC earned his first Pitcher-of-the-Week award for his outing Sunday against Notre Dame. In 7.0 shutout innings, Eubanks allowed four hits (.154 OBA) with two walks and seven strikeouts in picking up his second win of the year.

Weekend Notes:

Clemson, ranked as high as #9 in the country, beat Michigan State at Fluor Field in midweek action before sweeping three games from Notre Dame at Doug Kingsmore Stadium. The Tigers outscored their opponents 23-8 while outhitting the opposition .230 (26 hits) to .213 (29 hits). On the week, Clemson had six doubles, one homer, 24 walks, and six HBPs against 28 strikeouts while going 6-8 on stolen bases. The Tiger pitching staff finished the week with a 1.25 ERA, allowing eight runs (five earned) in 36.0 innings with seven walks against 42 strikeouts. Clemson fielded at a .965 clip, committing five errors in 141 chances.
