Among the members of the “True 19” group of talented 2019 prospects from Georgia that attended Clemson’s junior day on March 4 was Loganville-Grayson offensive tackle Wanya Morris.

It was Morris’s first time on campus since his visit for the N.C. State game last October.

“I loved it,” he said. “The highlight was definitely the collective time asking the students there about the rigorous schedule and intense practice.”

Morris was impressed by what he observed during Clemson’s practice that day.

“I love the competition and the structure of the practice,” he said.

Clemson’s new football complex wowed him as well.

“It was beautiful,” Morris said. “One of the best I’ve been to.”

Morris’s recruitment has begun to take off in 2017. After getting his first offers from Syracuse and Boston College last November, the 6-foot-5, 265-pound sophomore has picked up offers from Alabama, Auburn, Florida, Florida State, LSU and Miami during visits to those schools with the True 19 this year.

With his size, athleticism and upside, his offer sheet is sure to keep expanding going forward.

An offer from Clemson is on Morris’s wish list.

“Clemson is one of my dream schools,” he told TCI before the visit. “I love the new facility and the coaches, and Dabo is an amazing person. He’s very friendly and knows how to handle his business, and treats players like his own.”

Morris started at left tackle for Grayson in 2016, protecting 2017 Clemson quarterback signee Chase Brice. The Rams beat Roswell for the Class 7A state championship last season.
