IMG lineman ‘working hard’ for Clemson offer

One of the players with the Bradenton (Fla.) IMG Academy tour group that made a stop at Clemson on March 4 was 2019 offensive lineman Noah Quier.

The Clemson Insider caught up with Quier, who spoke highly of his experience on the visit.

“It was great,” Quier said. “The coaches were very involved and the facilities were amazing. Clemson seems to have a great educational program as well which is very important too.”

Quier said he ate dinner and chatted with offensive line coach Robbie Caldwell.

“He seemed like a great coach who really knew what he was doing. We spoke about my home area and me personally as well as some stories he shared. It was nice to connect with a coach like that.”

The 6-foot-3, 305-pound Quier doesn’t currently have any offers, but the sophomore is still in the early part of his recruiting process. He will likely get more exposure as an upperclassman at IMG after transferring there from Nansemond-Suffolk Academy (Suffolk, Va.) following his freshman season.

An offer from Clemson is one Quier covets.

“I’m working hard for one from Clemson,” he said. “The offer would mean everything to me. Getting recognized by a school I’ve always loved would mean a ton. Clemson’s great mix of academics and sports really stand out for me. Their great coaches, too.”

Quier also recently visited Georgia, Tennessee, South Carolina and UCF.

In January, he helped represent the United States in the 2017 North American Championship against Canada in Orlando, Fla.
