After visiting Clemson for the first time in March, Detroit (Mich.) Cass Tech four-running back Jaren Mangham plans to return next month.
“I will be back down in June,” he told TCI. “Just looking forward to seeing the coaches again, getting to talk face-to-face and build that relationship.”
Mangham (6-1, 215) lists nearly 20 offers, including ones from Arizona, Kentucky, Michigan State, Mississippi State, Missouri, Pittsburgh, UCLA and Wisconsin.
Clemson has told the rising junior to stay patient for a potential offer from the Tigers.
“They said they have a lot of interest in me still,” he said, “and told me to not count them out.”
With a bevy of schools showing interest, Mangham is looking to make many visits from coast to coast this summer as he explores his options.
Mangham, who wants to wait until the end of next summer to commit, said Indiana, Michigan State, Pittsburgh, Syracuse and UCLA are some of the schools recruiting him the hardest.
He named Clemson, Indiana, Kentucky, Michigan State, Missouri, Pittsburgh and UCLA as some of the schools standing out to him.
What piques his interest in Clemson?
“The coaching staff,” he said. “They know how to win, and they treat their players right.”
Mangham is ranked by 247Sports as the No. 6 prospect in Michigan and No. 169 overall prospect in the 2019 class.
