Lanett (Ala.) four-star safety Trikweze Bridges has been to Clemson a couple of times this year.

After enjoying his experiences, the top 2019 prospect wants to get back on campus for more.

“Of course,” Bridges said when asked if he is looking to visit Clemson again. “The coaches there and the people are just good people to be around.”

Bridges, one of the best defensive back prospects in the state of Alabama, visited Clemson for the first time in April. He was able to meet and tour the campus and facilities with defensive coordinator Brent Venables, safeties coach Mickey Conn and defensive line coach Todd Bates.

Bridges (6-3, 175) returned two months later to compete at the Dabo Swinney Camp in June. Conn was able to get a closer look at his talents, while Bridges was able to build upon his relationship with Conn.

“Coach Conn is a good person, and he shows a lot of leadership,” Bridges said.

Heading into his junior season, Bridges possesses offers from Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Kentucky, Louisville and Mississippi State among others.

Clemson is an offer he’d love to add to his list, which should continue to grow as an upperclassman.

“It would be a blessing and also another (place) you could call home,” Bridges said.

Bridges said Kentucky and Georgia are showing the most interest in him right now, though he is holding off on naming any favorites with his recruiting process still in the relatively early stages.

“I’m going to wait until the coaches are able to talk to me (more) to build a better relationship,” he said.

Playing time, how he fits into a school’s defensive scheme and relationships will all be factors Bridges looks closely at when he moves toward a college decision in the future.

“My chances of showing off my talent, the relationship with the coaches and players, and how would I adjust to their defense,” he said.

Rivals ranks Bridges as the No. 7 prospect in Alabama and No. 225 overall prospect in the 2019 class.

As a sophomore last season, he earned first-team all-state honors after recording 90 tackles and 11 interceptions.
