It was not the best of nights for former Clemson quarterback Deshaun Watson. The Houston Texans’ first-round pick struggled in a 13-0 loss to New Orleans on Saturday in New Orleans, La.
Watson completed 11-of-21 passes for 116 yards and no touchdowns. He also threw one interception on a pass that was too high in the third quarter. He could have been intercepted at least two more times as Saints defenders dropped the football.
Watson finished the game with a quarterback rating of 48. In Watson’s defense, he also had a couple of passes dropped by his wide receivers and the offensive line struggled to protect him at times as well.
