Ramel Keyton’s first visit to Clemson couldn’t have gone any better.
The four-star wide receiver from Marietta (Ga.) High made the trip to Clemson for its game against Auburn on Saturday and was thoroughly impressed during his time on campus.
“It felt right being there,” Keyton told The Clemson Insider. “One of the best visits I’ve been on.”
What stood out to him about his experience?
“Everything really from the facilities, coaches, fans, stadium,” Keyton said. “Just overall it was all perfect.”
Keyton, a class of 2019 prospect, was able to start building a relationship with Clemson receivers coach Jeff Scott and recruiting coordinator Brandon Streeter while on campus.
“Just getting to know me and my parents really, building that connection,” Keyton said of his conversations with them.
Clemson offered Keyton last month, joining schools such as Auburn, Florida, Georgia, Louisville, Miami and Tennessee on his offer sheet.
The Tigers are in a favorable position with Keyton following the visit.
“At the top,” he said of where Clemson stands on his list.
Keyton (6-2, 180) is ranked by the major recruiting services as a consensus top-200 prospect in the 2019 class regardless of position.
As a sophomore last season, Keyton caught 77 passes for 1,347 yards.
He hopes to return to Clemson for another game this season.
