Clemson running back Adam Choice was a little vague when asked Monday morning how “the fight club” situation was handled by head coach Dabo Swinney last week.

Last week, a video surfaced on twitter of two Clemson players sparring in the locker room, while their teammates, and what looks like team managers, were standing around videoing the fight on their phones.

The video of course caused a firestorm in the media and on social media as well, causing some to question Swinney while speculating if he had lost control of his locker room. Of course some also dismissed it as “boys just being boys,” which Choice indicated was the case.

Choice told another reporter it was not a big deal, but Swinney told the team he did not want to see it happen again.

Co-offensive coordinator Tony Elliott was also asked about the incident and he said Swinney handled the situation well.

“Coach Swinney did a good job of handling that and just really challenging our leadership to make sure that we do not lose sight of who we are and that we don’t need any distractions,” Elliott said. “So Coach did a great job of addressing.”

The Tigers, who are coming off a stunning loss at Syracuse, definitely don’t need any distractions as they hit the stretch run of the season. Clemson (6-1, 4-1 ACC) hosts Georgia Tech this Saturday in Death Valley and cannot afford to lose another game if it wants to make the College Football Playoff for a third straight year.
