Helmet Stickers: No. 7 Clemson 24, Georgia Tech 10

Following seventh-ranked Clemson’s 24-10 win over Georgia Tech the Clemson Insider handed out our helmet stickers to players who contributed with stellar individual performances against the Yellow Jackets.

Tre Lamar

After only playing two plays against Syracuse in the Tigers’ last outing the sophomore linebacker put together an outstanding defensive performance. He was all over the field Saturday night wreaking havoc on Georgia Tech’s triple option.

Lamar led the Clemson defense in tackles with 11 and four solo tackles while amassing a pair of sacks and a pair of tackles-for-loss.

Deon Cain

Cain had another impressive night at receiver for the Tigers on Saturday night. The junior receiver had a mere four catches but racked up 57 yards and a touchdown.

On Clemson’s opening drive Cain got the ball rolling for the Clemson offense with a seven-yard catch followed by a 38-yard touchdown reception and walked into the end zone. He also caught his 100th pass as a Tiger and extended his streak of games with a catch to 31.

Dorian O’Daniel

Dorian O’Daniel shot par for the course and played his usual big game against Georgia Tech. O’Daniel stepped up and led a ferocious Clemson defensive attack and put up solid numbers with seven total tackles, three solo tackles, a sack, two tackles-for-loss, and a break up.

Kendall Joseph

Joseph was swarming to the ball and seemed to be involved on nearly every play. The veteran linebacker finished the game with nine tackles, a quarterback-hurry, and a forced fumble.

Milan Richard

Richard only had one catch but was a big part of the game and had a milestone day. He caught his first career touchdown on the 20-yard strike from Bryant on a seam rout to give Clemson a 14-3 lead and momentum following a Yellow Jacket scoring drive.

Next week the Tigers will be tested as they go back on the road to face a stout North Carolina State team in Raleigh.
