The end of last year was good to Jefferson (Ga.) tight end Garmon Randolph. The Class of 2019 recruit saw his stock get a big boost with several major scholarship offers.

Florida gave him his first Power Five offer in October. South Carolina, Ole Miss and Auburn all followed with offers in the ensuing weeks.

Clemson is one of the other schools showing interest in Randolph, a talented and intriguing prospect who stands at 6-foot-6, 220 pounds.

“They’ve been sending me a lot of graphics,” Randolph said of Clemson.

Randolph was invited to visit Clemson last season, so he attended the Tigers’ game against The Citadel in November.

The atmosphere in Death Valley — particularly Clemson’s fans — caught his attention during the experience.

“My favorite thing is their fans, which makes the atmosphere amazing,” Randolph said. “It would mean a lot to get an offer (from Clemson).”

Randolph is looking to return to Clemson, perhaps for its junior day in the spring. He got a good grasp of what Clemson has to offer during his first visit, though he hopes to check out the football operations complex next time.

“It was amazing,” he said of the visit, “I just didn’t see the new facility because of the early kickoff.”

Randolph is still relatively new to the recruiting scene. He is sure to see more schools enter the picture moving forward, so he is taking his time with the process right now and not naming any early favorites.

What is he looking for in his future school of choice?

“First a good education,” Randolph said, “then a team that’s a family, has each other’s backs no matter what.”

Randolph visited Florida and South Carolina during the season, as well.
