The lead didn’t last long as NC State scored two in the bottom of the first.
In the bottom of the second the Pack took control of the game and the series with six runs. Brody Koerner had four wild pitches in the inning and was replaced by Alex Schnell who quickly gave up a two-run home run. After two the Tigers trailed 8-1.
