Football on the brain

By Will Vandervort.

On Tuesday I did two of my usual radio spots and in each interview I was asked to talk about the state of mind in regards to the average Clemson fan right now.

I was honest. I told them, “Well, I would say they are focused only on football.”

That was weird to say because basketball season just wrapped up and baseball season is a little more than a third through the year. But when I speak to you guys about Clemson athletics, few of you want to talk about baseball and basketball except for the few of you who have the pitchforks and are marching to the doors of both Brad Brownell and Jack Leggett.

The rest of you just want to act like the other two sports do not exist and I get that. Things are going great with football. The Tigers are winning and once again nationally relevant. Life is good because to some football is all that really matters.
