One of the top offensive linemen targeted by Clemson for the 2016 class is Cranford, New Jersey four-star Will Fries.

Rated by Rivals as the No. 10 offensive guard in the country, Fries is ranked as the No. 242 overall prospect. He visited Clemson on Monday.

“I loved it, every aspect, from the football to the academics and the campus and the coaches’ personalities. I got to talk to some of the players and it was really awesome,” Fries told TheClemsonInsider on Monday night.

The 6-foot-6, 265-pound prospect went into detail about the visit.

“We got to see some of the academics and their whole talk about everything, how they prepare their kids,” Fries said. “We got to watch practice, that was pretty cool. I got to have a long talk with coach Swinney and get a campus tour. That was really great.”

Fries called every aspect of the program “top-notch.”

“It’s a really good football program and everything really is high-quality. It’s really awesome,” he said.

On Tuesday, he visited South Carolina. Over the weekend, before visiting Clemson, Fries went to Northwestern.

Penn State and Rutgers are thought to be serious contenders. UNC and Duke are also in the mix.

“I don’t have a top-five yet. I’m going to wait and think about, then go from there,” Fries said.

He offered no specific timeline for a decision.

“After I talk with my family and coach, I’ll be making a return trip to some of the places I liked,” Fries said.
