As the clock was winding down on Jacksonville’s season, NFL films caught a moment between Trevor Lawrence and wide receiver Zay Jones on the sideline in last Saturday’s 27-20, divisional round playoff loss to the Kansas City Chiefs.
“Trevor, we’re gonna be just fine bro,” Jones said. “It’s not moral victories. But bro, you fought your ass off.”
After a magical run to end the season, the Jaguars came up just short in Kansas City, despite an overall solid game from Lawrence. But all can agree the future is very bright for the former Clemson star. Lawrence has firmly planted himself in the conversation for one of the best and most promising QBs in the NFL.
It’s cool to see two teammates digesting the hard loss, but looking to the future knowing the best is yet to come.
