The Indianapolis Colts made a few roster moves on Tuesday, including promoting a former Clemson receiver.
The Colts announced on Tuesday they have signed Amari Rodgers to the 53-man roster from their practice squad.
Rodgers has spent time on both the Colts’ practice squad and active roster this season, and he played four offensive snaps in the team’s game against the Los Angeles Rams this past Sunday after being elevated to the active roster for Week 4.
The Colts originally signed Rodgers as a free agent on Aug. 2 a few days after he was waived by the Houston Texans.
A third-round pick of the Packers in the 2021 NFL Draft and former All-ACC performer at Clemson, Rodgers was released by the Green Bay Packers last November and then was quickly claimed off waivers by the Texans.
In 33 career NFL games with the Colts (2023), Texans (2022) and Packers (2021-22), Rodgers has recorded 20 receptions for 249 yards and one touchdown to go with three carries for 18 yards, 40 punt returns for 305 yards and 17 kickoff returns for 321 yards.
