Clemson head coach Dabo Swinney held his post-practice media availability on Wednesday evening and gave an update on Justin Mascoll’s status ahead of Saturday’s game against Georgia Tech.
The sixth-year defensive end continues to trend in a positive direction, per Swinney, and the Tigers are still hoping Mascoll will be able to return Saturday if he doesn’t have any setbacks.
“He’s been able to practice as well… Hopefully no setbacks and we can continue to move forward,” Swinney said. “But he’s doing good.”
Prior to missing the Tigers’ last two games against Notre Dame and NC State, Mascoll started each of Clemson’s first seven games this season while recording 20 tackles, three tackles for loss, a pass breakup, three quarterback pressures and the first forced fumble of his career.
