Clemson head coach Dabo Swinney gave an injury update on star linebacker Barrett Carter following Wednesday’s practice.
Swinney was asked how Carter (ankle) is looking ahead of this Saturday’s game against No. 20 North Carolina, after missing last Saturday’s game against Georgia Tech.
“Good,” Swinney said. “He’s been day to day and getting a little better each day.”
Swinney said after the Georgia Tech game that Carter rolled his ankle last Wednesday night and the Tigers thought he would be able to play against the Yellow Jackets, but he “just didn’t feel stable as he needed to be” on Saturday morning.
Carter has started nine of Clemson’s 10 games this season and ranks second on the team with 54 total tackles. The junior has posted seven tackles for loss, two sacks, a pass breakup and five quarterback pressures.
